Mycorrhizal inoculation increases fruit production without disturbance of native arbuscular mycorrhizal community in jujube tree orchards (Senegal)

چکیده
Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi constitute promising biofertilizers for the deployment of a sustainable agriculture. However, evaluation benefits in field is poorly documented, notably fruit tree orchards, and concerns exclusively growth performance nutrition. Here, we evaluated persistence beneficial effects AM fungal inoculation on two jujube (Ziziphus mauritiana Lam.) cultivars (Tasset Gola) inoculated nursery conditions subsequently transferred until production. The growth-promoting observed was still maintained 18 months after planting, with significant higher rates survival an increase production cultivars. Nevertheless, AM-mediated responses were dependent cultivar. No major disturbance native community associated but stimulation colonization probable. use R. irregularis IR27 strain hold promise development efficient orchards under semi-arid conditions.

Improvement of Cupressus atlantica Gaussen growth by inoculation with native arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi.
AIMS The study aimed to determine whether inoculation with native arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi could improve survival and growth of seedlings in degraded soils of Morocco. METHODS AND RESULTS Soil samples were collected from the rhizosphere of Cupressus atlantica trees in the N'Fis valley (Haut Atlas, Morocco). AM spores were extracted from the soil, identified and this mixture of native...
متن کاملInoculation of Fumigated Nursery Beds and Containers With Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Products for Eastern Redcedar Production
Commercially available arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) products were applied at an operational rate to eastern redcedar (Juniperus virginiana L.) nursery beds and containers to evaluate seedling growth and colonization responses. A field study at the Augusta Forestry Center in Crimora, VA, and a companion container study were initiated in the fall of 2012. MycoApply® Endo products containing the sa...

This study characterizes the molecular and phylogenetic identity of fungi involved in arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) associations in extant Huperzia and Lycopodium (Lycopodiaceae). Huperzia and Lycopodium are characterized by a life cycle with long-lived autotrophic sporophytes and long-lived mycoheterotrophic (obtain all organic carbon from fungal symbionts) gametophytes. 18S ribosomal DNA was is...
متن کاملThe mycorrhizal soil infectivity and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal spore communities in soils of different aged fallows in Senegal
This work was carried out to determine the influence of the duration of fallow and of physico-chemical components of soils on the distribution of endomycorrhizal fungal spores and the mycorrhizal soil infectivity. The mycorrhization of indigenous plants from the fallows was examined and it was concluded that, except for Cassia obtusifolia, fungal colonization was poorly developed. No correlatio...
متن کاملProduction of vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus inoculum in aeroponic culture.
Bahia grass (Paspalum notatum) and industrial sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) colonized by Glomus deserticola, G. etunicatum, and G. intraradices were grown in aeroponic cultures. After 12 to 14 weeks, all roots were colonized by the inoculated vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. Abundant vesicles and arbuscules formed in the roots, and profuse sporulation was detected intra-and extraradical...
